I’m teaching a dance class in my studio every thursday this month at 7pm. It’s an open, all-levels class- designed for the person who loves to move and wants to learn more about dance but might feel a bit overwhelmed with the idea of taking class in the city around professional dancers.  You will get really sweaty, have a great work-out, learn stuff about your body and move around the room like wild banshees to music you listened to on cassette tapes in your carpeted bedroom.  Come have fun and spread the word, the more the merrier.
PS. Also later in September, look out for a couple videos that I choreographed- the new music video for Sleigh Bells and a fashion video for Christian Joy.

Go, obviously!

That sucks, man. I’m sorry. I used to have a clothing company, known mostly for one-of-a-kind hand-knits. All my pieces were very distinctive, especially the patterns of color I would use. Each piece was unique.
Well, in the fashion business one only needs to change one or two small details to be free of “copying” your design.
So one day, someone forwarded to me the merchant site page from Wal-Mart (!!!) of one of the Olsen Twins new KNIT COATS. It was almost an exact copy of one of the hand-knit coats I had delivered to Fred Segal (a popular boutique in L.A.) that season. How’d I know it was mine? Becasue I only made one with that color combination/pattern.

“In New York City, an advertising executive recently handed over her American Express Platinum Card to a homeless Manhattan man after he had asked her for change. The man, who had been without home after losing a job, used the card to buy $25 worth of deodorant, water and cigarettes. And then he returned the card.” — How panhandlers use free credit cards | John Rankin (via criminalwisdom) (via brocatus)

Urban Intervention of the Day: Jason Eppink and Newmindspace recently collaborated on the installation of “Spoiler Alert” signs beneath train arrival time LED displays at various NYC subway stations.

The Spoiler Alert signs warn waiting riders of this potentially unwanted information – allowing them to avert their eyes so they may preserve their spirit of adventure – while still leaving visible the data for travelers who wish to ruin the surprise for themselves.
